We are holding our first ever Family Fun Day and invite everyone to come and join the fun.
The day will kick off at 10am when East Lothian Ranger Nick Aitken will take kids (with adults) on a scavenger hunt on Fisherrow Sands near to the Bruntstane Burn to see what kinds of sea life we can find there. this will be followed by a scavenger hunt!
At noon the sports will kick off with beach rugby, football and volleyball with Tug-o-war games ever 30 minutes.
Also from noon there will be busking along the Prom.
Our next talk hosted by Fisherrow Waterfront Group is by Iris McMillan on June 5 and titled Crans, Creels and Tunes. Her talk is focused on the fishing tradition in East Lothian and centres on Fisherrow. It is not entirely about Fishwives but they do feature quite strongly – given Iris’s own connection to her Grandmother, a Fisherrow Fishwife.
